Little bit about me

A little bit about me: I've been a licensed real estate professional in New York (agent for 2.5 years, broker for 2 years) for over four years, entering the real estate industry in August 2019. Prior to that, I had experience working for a medical device company in the marketing department, at an advertising agency as a media and account person, at a post-secondary educational institution as a director, and running my own startup as a founder. I currently live in Manhattan with my family, including my two daughters. What a time it was to enter the industry!

Just as I was getting my feet wet, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, followed by the exodus of Manhattan. That time was really something else. Looking back, I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to witness and navigate such a volatile time in the market and the world. Experiencing both low and high interest rate environments and witnessing a significant movement of people is something that many agents might not see in years of their career.

During this period, I've been involved in a variety of transactions, representing tenants, landlords, buyers, investors, and sellers while working with two major firms in the city, Douglas Elliman, the oldest brokerage in NYC, and Compass, the newest tech-heavy firm. I've worked on coop deals, including a coop sponsor transaction with renovations, re-sale condos, sponsor condo sales, and, of course, rental transactions. I've helped clients find properties ranging from $400k to over $4 million, touring buildings from 100-year-old pre-war structures to shiny new constructions, from boutique buildings to ultra high-end skyscrapers in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

If I can count correctly, I have visited over 700 units and countless buildings across NYC, mainly in Manhattan, gaining extensive market knowledge along the way. Every building is so different! From penthouse full-floor units to four-bedroom basement units in different neighborhoods, I've seen quite a lot. My experience spans a wide variety of buildings and unit types, providing me with a deep understanding of the market.

I've had the privilege of connecting with clients from diverse industries, including the medical field, tech, non-profits, fashion, arts and creative sectors, finance, and more. I've also worked with students (and their parents), foreign investors, and expats from different countries. Each client has taught me something valuable, and I am forever grateful for their openness and trust in me with their real estate needs.

This wouldn't have happened without being in this city. I am confident I am on the path to truly becoming a New Yorker. I call this town my home. Real estate here for me isn’t just about homes; it’s about people, community, growth, and solidarity. Over the years, I've seen it through pandemic times, met incredible friends and clients, and worked as an agent in one of the most dynamic markets in the world. The city's diversity is unparalleled, with each neighborhood and street offering something unique.

All these experiences have shaped me into the person and professional I am today, and I am deeply grateful for that. We all have a love-hate relationship with the city, but one thing is for sure: this city pushes me to be a better person.
